Waterville Valley hosts one of the top Nordic ski centers in the country. Our proximity to the White Mountain National Forest affords Nordic skiers and snowshoers boundless scenic and serene adventures through a vast network of trails that will lead you along the Mad River, across Snow’s Brook and deep into the forest. The Black Bear Lodge is just minutes away from the Adventure Center, the Nordic ski hub of the White Mountains. They are a full-service retail and rental shop, offering Nordic skis, snowshoes, fat bikes, and pulk sleds. Over 70+ km of trails are accessible directly from almost anywhere within Waterville Valley. Trails are also accessible from the Alpine Ski Resort. Almost all trails are groomed for skate and classic skiing. Snowshoeing is welcome on any trail and fat biking is welcome on select trails with the purchase of a trail pass.
