Dawn’s Diary 9-27-24

How beautiful are the leaves when they grow old, so full of light and color before a breeze whisks them away for children to enjoy.

There is so much to love about Waterville Valley, but this season is the best with all the beautiful colors popping everywhere! Every morning brings more and more color, pumpkins, marigolds and mums, making for a lovely walk through town or onto the many trails around town. Simply magical!

So, what is on the agenda for the weekend you ask? Outside of the sweet cars in town square for the Rally in the Valley, and an awesome array of chili from the Chili Challenge on Saturday, there’s some live music to enjoy and there are always great restaurants in town to choose from.

Let me make a small suggestion for an early morning site.. One of the best pictures I ever got was taken while sitting on the dock at Corcoran Pond early one morning. The water was so still, and from my position, the reflection of the trees and the clouds on the pond were absolutely seamless! You want that picture, my friends, definitely a money shot before you leave!

Now, here’s the main event you all need to get the reservations in for, and it’s even more inclusive for all the families this year! And all of us who didn’t get tickets to Schwendi Fest up on the mountain will still be able to enjoy a TON of fun activities!
