Dawn’s Diary 9-4-24

Can you smell the crispness in the air?! Fall is coming and I am so excited to see the Valley in all its beauty, popping with color soon! This is a beautiful week with perfect temps… Chilly in the morning, warm afternoons into cool nights. Great time to hike and/or bike!

It’s a bit quieter this week as the kiddos go back to school and families begin slipping back into their routines after a wonderful summer filled with adventure. I know all of us here at Black Bear Lodge have been having a great time talking about the family reunions, weddings, favorite guests and events. I think one of my favorites was working with Pauline, Laurie and Karen on flower beds and seasonal decorations. Truly is like a great big family here and a lot of our guests feel that during their stays!

Can’t wait for all the amazing things coming up in fall and winter. Fall Foliage festival, Car Show, mountain Race, Chili Challenge, Schwendi Fest, more fireworks! AND, did you folks know that we are hosting WORLD CUP again this year?! World class athletes from all over the world coming here again!  So many exciting and fun events to plan for!

For now, I’m going to sit in the lobby with a hot cup of coffee, chat with the “Tea Time” crew and talk Halloween decorations!
