With wildflowers still in bloom and the stars putting on their nightly show, August feels like that sweet spot between summer thrill and autumn chill!

The bears (that’s us 😉) have been welcoming families, hikers, and a few curious chipmunks looking for trail-mix!

Around the town? Let’s just say there’s no shortage of small-town charms and big mountain adventures!

August is just FULL of activities to enjoy with friends and family! Every Thursday there is Woodland Fairy House Building, Tie-Dye by the pond, sip N’ Paint. Fridays offer a cornhole Tournament, photo booth, Mechanical Bull riding, Twilight Smore’s and live music. Saturdays you can enjoy Balloon animals, Face Painting and even more live music. Plus, Theater Under the Stars is in full swing with some amazing shows!

This month, there is an abundance of races and challenges. August 8th begins the Denali challenge, which is incredible! Then on the 15th, there is the Jigger Johnson Ultras, and this is not for the faint of heart! To finish off the month is the black Bear Trail Races. What a great way to put the spotlight on all the peaks we have right at our doorsteps!

Just a head’s up for all of our loyal Bears and Bear Cub’s, we have some pretty sweet deals happening! First, we have the Family experience package that has rates you won’t believe! Give us a call and ask for details.

The weekend of the 15th is going to be SO MUCH FUN! Waterville Valley is holding its very first Rodeo! Check it out on our Special Deals page.

And, because we love to promote these family activities and events, we have come up with a package you just can’t beat. Go and check it out on our website or call us direct and just mention Rodeo. We’ve also added the promo code on our website so you can book a stay online. Just type in RDEO in the promo code field. Here is the link:
