Dawn’s Diary 12-29-24

The mountain’s alive, with the sound of shredding! (sang in the voice of Julie Andrews, and I know you hear it, too!)

Ahhhh, the brilliant blue sky against the snow-covered mountains, the swooshing of skis and boards, shredding down the slopes…  Music to our ears here in the Valley! Have you all gathered your equipment and made your reservations and grabbed your passes yet? C’mon and get going, it is AMAZING up there, and so much to do and enjoy this week!

The remainder of this week is loaded with Après skiing and live music up at the Freestyle Lounge. Take a few runs and then sit by the fire on the deck, or grab a table or stool, some nice hot food and cocoa and enjoy some tunes before heading back to the lodge where you can go swimming under the stars in our half indoor/ half outdoor pool, sit in the outdoor hot tub for a soak! Better still, go and enjoy the newly updated sauna and steam room and let the muscles relax.

Tuesday promises to be a fun filled end to 2024! Head up to the mountain for a day on the slopes or enjoy some great activities for everyone, then get all dressed up for the night’s events with fireworks and then a New Years Eve party at La Hacienda Mexicana starting at 7! Have you experienced fireworks over a blanket of snow? Amazing!

Also, I want to mention that the Toyota Waterville Freestyle World Cup event is finally here this month! January 23^rd-26^th is going to be incredible and you MUST come and stay for this event!!!!!

Alrighty then, that is it from me, but I will be back again in the next several days with more updates on happenings and events here in beautiful Waterville Valley during your stay at the Black Bear Lodge, where you arrive a guest and leave as part of our family!
