Dawn’s Diary 8-21-24

Another beautiful week here at the Black Bear Lodge! Weather has been a bit rainy, but when the sun comes through, it’s just spectacular. And that early morning, fall-like weather is absolutely perfect for a walk or hike on any of the many trails we have all around us.

We are looking forward to another peaceful weekend in the Valley as we gear up to The End of Summer Bash on September 1st. This weekend is some great live music in town square with  Bryan Conway on Friday and Saturday is Swipe Right. Good stuff!

This weekend will be great for a coffee on the deck (those Black Bear Lodge Barista’s are pretty awesome haha!) with some fresh fruits from Jugtown,  then a nice lunch from La Tasse Café to grab and go find a spot to read a book and relax before dinner and music!

Sunday morning, the weather will be a little chilly, so grab that Black Bear Lodge sweatshirt and head up for Church Chair on the mountain. Perfect way to end the stay here in the Valley! If you must hit the road early, make sure to stop at Benton’s sugar Shack over in Campton for an insanely tasty breakfast! Or you can always stop over for a fresh baked muffin at Mad River Coffee House! So many undiscovered treasures in this area!
